My research focuses on human-wildlife conflict between local farmers in Buton, Sulawesi, Indonesia and the endemic Buton Macaque which is currently classified as vulnerable to extinction.
Areas of interest include:
- modelling risk of crop-raiding
- crop-raiding behaviour of macaques
- feeding ecology of crop-raiding macaques
- perceptions and attitudes towards crop-raiding
- development of education programmes for macaque conservation
